The Leopoldskazerne (an East Flemish military building), was established between 1890-1905, and I am one of the users of this building. Unfortunately, renovations are scheduled for 2023. I want to acquire or inherit the baseboard of tails in my studio from the owner of this building before any architectural changes take place.
After 50 days of engaging with various individuals, including officers in the military and the reconstruction project contractor, to identify who could facilitate the transfer of ownership of these baseboards ('Plint' in Dutch) free to me, I finally made contact with the actual owner of the building. We proceeded to sign an official property transfer agreement, overseen by a lawyer and two witnesses. Following this, we photographed and held a small ceremony with champagne to express our gratitude — thank goddess! the owner isn't the king of Belgium.
Welcome to visit and loan my property!
